Development Lab
The Development Lab focuses on building and refining original Afro centric animation concepts. Participants explore idea generation, thematic development, cultural grounding, character foundations, and visual direction. This lab helps creators shape their raw ideas into strong, coherent, and
production ready concepts.
Production Lab
The Production Lab guides creators through hands on animation production and post production
processes. This includes scene planning, animation workflows, editing, compositing, rendering, and
content finalization. It is structured to help both emerging and mid level animators understand real
industry pipelines from start to finish.
Script Lab
The Script Lab is a creative writing space for crafting and elevating engaging, culturally rich scripts
tailored for animation. Participants learn story structure, dialogue writing, pacing, theme development,
and how to create scripts that resonate both locally and globally. The lab supports writers in producing
clean, production ready screenplays.
Story Lab
The Story Lab is dedicated to story ideation, character arcs, and world building. Participants develop
emotionally compelling narratives, define strong character motivations, and design immersive worlds
inspired by Afro centric traditions. This lab strengthens depth, clarity, and narrative impact.
Voice Lab
The Voice Lab trains female voice talents in vocal performance, emotional expression, character
interpretation, and voice direction for animation. Participants gain hands on experience with recording
techniques, animation timing, and working alongside voice directors. It aims to develop confident,
skilled female voice actors who can excel in animation roles.
